Margaret River, Western Australia

I think of myself as a writer reading country. I’m always out walking, looking for inspiration in the wilderness. I’m lucky to live in a region with a remote and spectacular coastline and some of the tallest forests on Earth. I love to immerse in the landscape: in the ocean, the forest, and rocks. All have a story to tell if we are open to listening.

Currently working as media officer for the West Australian Forest Alliance, I have also just launched a business as a freelance writer and editor.

Alongside my professional work and writing business I have a few personal projects on the go. I’m currently pitching a junior fantasy novel called The Startree to traditional publishers, while working on the sequel Fishwizard. I’m also writing a speculative novel set on Mars and a semi-guide book about the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, which I plan to self-publish towards the end of 2022.

All my work is towards the same end: I write to foster stewardship of country, hoping to encourage others to explore the biodiversity and unique landscapes of Western Australia through literature and the arts.
